Students and Alumni

Students pursue mathematics at UMass Boston to engage their love for the subject when they choose it as their major, to support their work in other disciplines, to prepare for careers in teaching, to satisfy the Quantitative Reasoning requirement, or to meet college distribution requirements. To everyone,

Welcome!

The Department of Mathematics shares the mission of the University of Massachusetts Boston, and that is to serve the academic interests of the students at the university while providing a quality education that serves the needs of the community. All of the students who take courses within the Department of Mathematics here at UMB are valued members of the UMB community and it is the goal of the department to instill in these students an appreciation for mathematics as well as to teach these students analytic skills that can be used across disciplines.

Awards:
